Brand owner, Huraira Abdul, who is also an accountant speaks on how the brand aims to redefine elegance in women using silk fabric.

The fashion entrepreneur who’s passion for her craft started early in life at the age of nine with her mother’s sewing machine, explained that she at the time already started selling handmade accessories.

Started in 2017, the brand was initially called ‘Rayha designs’ but was renamed “Rayha Swish Empire” in the same year to fit into her plan for her business.

Abdul would at 17 take major course on accessories making to brush up her skills.

After which she enrolled at Sokes Fashion Academy in Abuja during her compulsory youth service year to learn fashion at a professional level to build the brand she has today.

In her words “Rayha Swish is founded with a mission to define individual style and personality through perfect finishing, taste for quality, elegant designs, and technology”.

As a brand, showcased on various runways, and that has partnered with retail stores like Glam’d Africa and Losode among many others , the brand has calved a niche for itself in original designs, ideas and creativity through well made designs from sketch to production, till implementation.

Top on quality of delivery is their multiple and seamless shopping options available for clients as it allows clients shop from anywhere in the world.

The kogi born fashion designer who is a multi-faceted creative has continued research in effort to gain new frontiers.

She finds the woman as a muse in her own unique way which she says helped in forming the basis of her designs with the goal to be a one stop shop for all things elegance- from fashion to accessories, globally.

As an experienced seamstress and designer, Abdul has stepped in several times to deliver on any project at hand when any seamstress in her employ fails to show up at work counting it as one of the challenges in her business aside inadequate power supply which according to her is a major cause of high cost of production.
