The President of the association and his Excos has commissioned a Special Intervention Impact Project in Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa in Nasarawa State.

The initiative was the installation of 70 solar- panels within the school for electrification of the school premises giving the students Access to electricity in some places within the school that were in darkness.

Speaking at the event, the President of the association, Dr. Femi Marshal, PhD, emphasized that the project is part of the Alumni ways to appreciate the institution and strengthening ties with the institution and that this is the first of such visits.

Marshal further disclosed that the initiative was part of the Old Student’s efforts to give back to the institution that made them what they are today.

The projects aim to provide a conducive learning environment and improve access to basic amenities like electricity,” the President explained.

The commissioning of the project was under the Distinguished Chairmanship of Dr. Abdu Bulama and the Special Guest of Honor, Dr. Abdullahi Ahmed Alhassan and the Chief Launcher of the event, Hon. Tijjani Aliyu Ahmed(Hcf Ncfrmi.

Dr. Abdu Bulama, a one time rector of Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, noted that education is a vital tool for community empowerment and development, he praised the efforts of the Alumni for such a project and pray that more of such visits should continue.

The rector of the institution and the Chief Host Dr. Hauwa Mohammed Tanko said the project would in no small measure contribute positively to the educational advancement of the students of Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa. as a citadel of learning.

She said that this is the first time such a thing is happening in the history of the institution, that it is part of efforts towards the emplacement of cordial relationship between (FEDPONAS-OSA), the Institution and the community.
Hon. Tijjani Aliyu Ahmed, the Chief Launcher of the occasion and one of the major supporter of the Alumni said that he was pleased that the Alumni took a major to give back to the institution and said that others should emulate this noble gesture of FEDPONAS-OSA.
The highlight of the occasion was the donation of another 100 Solar Panels to the institution.
