…………. constituents endorse Hon. Zhekaba for 3rd term come 2027. 

Member representing Obi Two Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Luka Iliya Zhekaba, has disbursed N20 million to 130 people of his constituency.

This, he said was to cushion the effect of the prevailing economic situation (hardship) in the country just as he inaugurated a committee to fashion out modalities for disbursement of scholarship for students in his constituency. 

Hon. Zhekaba (PDP) and Minority Leader of the House made the disbursement during a program tagged Inauguration of Scholarship Committee and Presentation of Palliative to 130 people of his constituency in Duduguru, Obi LGA of Nasarawa State today Sunday. 

Hon. Zhekaba while disbursing the funds said that the gesture was to improve on the standard of living of the people of his constituency.

 

 

” Everybody knows what is going on in the country today. We know the prevailing economic situation in the country today

” Whoever say that it is well in the country, he did not tell the truth

” I organize this programme in order to distribute palliative to cushion the effect of the prevailing economic situation (hardship) in the country” he said.

According to him, as you can see, some people got  N100,000 and some others got N50,000 respectively. 

Hon. Zhekaba assured of improved standard of living in his constituency.

” I will continue to do my best for my people by keying into different policies and programmes that will have direct bearing on your lives

” What I am after is to ensure better and improved standard of living of the people of my constituency” he added.

The Lawmaker urged those who are yet to benefit from his gesture to be patient while assuring of continuous peoples oriented programmes for his people.

He appreciated the people of his constituency for the continuous support he is enjoying from them and called for its sustenance.

 

 

 

He also appreciated the Speaker, Honourable Members and other dignitaries for attending the event and wished them safe journey to their various destinations. 

The lawmaker called on the people of his constituency and the state at large to continue to live in unity, peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.

On his part, the Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, commended Hon. Zhekaba for distributing the funds as palliative to the people of his constituency.

The Speaker said that the gesture would not only improve on the standard of living of the beneficiaries but would also boost the socio-economic activities of the constituency.

” I want to appreciate Hon. Luka Iliya Zhekaba for what he has been doing for the people of his constituency

” Hon Zhekaba is an outspoken and hard working member. He is being up and doing in ensuring the development of his constituency and the State at large.

He called on the beneficiaries to ensure effective utilization of the money to better their standard of living and that of their family members.

 

Speaker Jatau called on the people of the constituency and the State at large to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration, support Hon Zhekaba and other leaders at all levels to succeed.

Jatau said that Gov.Abdullahi Sule is doing well in almost all sectors of the economy.

” Let’s keep party, religion and ethnicity aside, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule is doing well and Nasarawa State is changing positively” he said. 

The Speaker assured Gov. Sule of the 7th Assembly resolved to effectively partner and give him maximum support to succeed.

 

 

“The 7th assembly under my leadership has agreed to work in unity and give His Excellency, the maximum cooperation for the overall development of the state” he said.

Besides, the Speaker  inaugurated Hon. Zhekaba’s Scholarship Committee to come up with a template for students scholarship program in the Constituency. 

He said that the scholarship no doubt if kick started would go a long way in improving on the standard of education in the area and the State at large. 

Also Speaking, Mr Jeremiah Joseph, PDP Chairman Obi LGA and Mr Augustine Agwale, PDP Chairman, Duglu Ward appreciated Hon Zhekaba for always coming to the aid of his people.

They said that they are proud of the quality representation of Hon Zhekaba in the House.

They assured the lawmaker of their support to succeed at all times.

Responding, Mr Peter Akaba, Retired Permanent Secretary in the state appreciated Hon Zhekaba for the gesture and for his purposeful leadership in the assembly.

He assured Hon. Zhekaba of their prayers and support to succeed.

It was reported that the people passed vote of confidence on the Lawmaker beyond 2027.
